 RSAD
was
created by the late Kyushu-Ryu Ju-Jitsu Grand Master Jacques Dionne of Ottawa.
RSAD is an 8-hour
self-defense workshop designed to be comprehensive, it uses no martial arts
skills, is perfectly realistic and effective, yet requires very little strength. RSAD is easy to understand and retain and uses no weapons at all. It sounds like
a miracle diet drug, but quit simply it's a study in human behavior, body
mechanics, motor nerve points and body language. Over the years we have studied
thousands of cases of sexual assault from successful escapes to unfortunate
victims. Very distinct patterns emerged. This workshop can develop a new found
sense of security and open the path for a heightened sense of awareness.
Here are some scary Canadian Statistics for 1996
Canadian Population: 29,968,509
Sexual Assaults: 26,762 reported (only 6% are ever reported)
Nova Scotia
Population: 942,000
Sexual Assaults 1,161 reported (Experts say only 6% of sexual assaults are reported, that means over 19,000 sexual
assaults actually occurred in 1996).
Lets Look at the most common excuse or myth around today.
"If I fight back I will get hurt, punched, stabbed, killed or tortured."
Jacques Dionne looked at 909 case files and broke them down.
Out of 909 random files, 521 victims were raped.
Out of these 388 women escaped.
Why????.......Actual comments:
I simply went crazy and would not stay still!!
I did not give in.......I fought for my life!
I screamed and did not stay still.
When he yelled and threatened me I went crazy on him!
I struggled and fought back.
I ran away as fast as I could before he could get a hold of me.
Not hesitating increased the likely hood of escaping unharmed.
The longer you stay in a situation the fewer your options will become!!!!
Jacques Dionne found that struggling, screaming, fighting, running, putting up a strong fight, not giving in, going crazy or psycho had an actual impact on the escape rate of these women.
Your new attitude should be,
"Rapist Beware!!!"
